Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 ainsi en hommage \u00e0 la m\u00e8re de Buddy Guy, d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e avant d&rsquo;avoir eu l&rsquo;opportunit\u00e9 de voir son fils jouer. Buddy Guy est le premier artiste produit par le label avec l\u2019enregistrement de \u00ab Stone Crazy \u00bb, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 Toulouse le 31 octobre 1979 et \u00e9galement sorti deux ans plus tard sur le label am\u00e9ricain de Bruce Iglauer, Alligator Records, qui en avait achet\u00e9 les droits.
